Dr. Milena Hobbs
Dr. Hobbs life long commitment to education began by obtaining a Registered Nursing diploma from Odessa Medical School. Following that, she earned a Dental degree from Odessa State Medical School University of Ukraine. After meeting her husband, she moved to Canada, where they welcomed two children. She returned to dentistry in 2012 by entering the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2014.
Dr. Hobbs continually strives to provide high quality dental care to her patients. She is well versed in all aspects of general dentistry, including diagnostics, fillings, root canal therapy, cosmetic crown and bridge therapy and third molar extractions. Her additional interests and training include orthodontics: early treatment, and traditional braces. She has participated in many hours of continuing education to advance her knowledge in these areas of expertise. Another field of interest is a “gum shortening” procedure that allows additional tooth structure to be reclaimed if a tooth has been badly fractured or has a large decay.
Dr. Hobbs also holds a certification from the University of Alberta for the administration of Neuro-modulators, such as Botox, for treatment of bruxism (grinding) and to aesthetically relax fine lines and wrinkles.
In her spare time, Dr. Hobbs loves spending time with her children and husband. Together they ski, bike and scuba dive.
