Dr. Lawson graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with specialization in Zoology in 1986 and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1990. Since beginning his career, he has remained deeply committed to lifelong learning, continually advancing his education with a strong focus on dental implants, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, sedation, and oral surgery.
It should be noted that Dr. Lawson has extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics and has provided comprehensive treatment for his patients in nearly all areas of dentistry. His clinical expertise allows him to manage complex cases in-house, offering patients continuity of care and comprehensive treatment planning.
In 2012, Dr. Lawson achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Implant Dentistry, a prestigious designation held by a small percentage of dentists worldwide. A more recent dentist achieved this status in 2025, further highlighting Dr. Lawson’s early leadership and long-standing expertise in implant dentistry. Over the course of his career, he has placed more than 3,000 dental implants and has completed and delivered thousands of hours of continuing education.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lawson has lectured extensively in the areas of dental implants, orthodontics, sedation, and oral surgery. He has been affiliated with numerous dental organizations dedicated to excellence and comprehensive training for dental professionals, particularly in implant dentistry and orthodontics. In addition to dental care, he also provides facial aesthetic treatments, including neuromodulators.
With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Lawson continues to pursue advanced education and remains passionate about elevating the standard of care for his patients through comprehensive, evidence-based dentistry.
